Manages a corporate consulting team within assigned product area. Responsible for quantity and quality of work performed. Serves as first level of management contact on customer issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Section 1 - For Use by Non-US & US (US - ADA Essential)
1. Manages implementation and retainer consulting projects:

Evaluates and assesses new implementation and retainer projects based upon size complexity percent of participation and time frame.
Selects and assigns appropriate project leader and team member(s).
Schedules projects and monitors progress.
Serves as escalation point for issues beyond project team authority resolves conflicts involving scheduling resources or technical issues.
Prepares and submits weekly project status reports prepares monthly reports outlining team assignments and/or changes project status changes retainer contracts taken and bonus awards to be made.
2. Manages personnel activities of staff (i.e. hires trains appraises rewards motivates disciplines recommends termination as necessary etc.).
3. Interfaces with other products and services departments as well as sales accounting personnel and product development as necessary.
4. Communicates with customers to assess customer satisfaction level with services and products.
5. Participates in direct customer and sales support as necessary.


Education / Training / Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or computer science. Advanced degree desirable. Minimum 10+years experience in product support and consulting environment, with minimum 2 to 4 years as field consulting or product support manager.
Special Knowledge & Skills:
Able to direct activities of a consulting team, ensuring customer satisfaction with consulting projects, and maximizing company's revenues. Hires and maintains a highly trained staff. Able to resolve complex business application problems, by phone or through personal visit, with a consulting project team. Excellent writing, editing, communications, presentation, human relations and interpersonal skills. Discusses and sells consulting services, discusses project planning and issues with customers. Professional appearance and presentation required. Must have managed at least 3-4 ERP implementations from inception to go-live, and for manufacturing companies in particular. Experience with MFG*PRO implementations is a plus. Must also have a verifiable track record of successfully identifying additional business opportunities within established customer accounts.
