method Change Variance

Hi all,

Labour is set up in 1.4.9 Item cost maintenance
No Labour costs are set up in routing maintenance 14.13.1
When a work order is closed the standard labour from 1.4.9 posts to method variance
This should not post to method variance, this must post to labour
There is no requirement to measure labour variance, just the standard
labour must post with each WO

Please advice is this correct or some setup is missing so that the labor is posted.
