Many companies use port scanners for finding security holes on a regular basis. This is often an auditing requirement from corporate auditors looking at shoring up security within companies. OpenEdge often has problems with port scanners causing AppServers to become unavailable and databases to deny user access. OpenEdge should be able to identify if a port scanner is being use and ignore the requests.
