The Building Business Capability (BBC) Conference, taking place Nov 2-6 in Hollywood, FL, combines insight into business analysis, business architecture, business process, business strategy, and business rules and decisions to facilitate the agile enterprise.

If you are headed there as well, come hear my talk on empowering the citizen developer. We all know someone who was tired of waiting for IT to build an app and turned to another platform to get the job done. In fact, Gartner predicts that by the close of 2014, 25% of new business applications will be delivered by citizen developers.

With model-driven development tools, it’s possible for citizen developers to play a more active and central role in application development. In my talk, I’ll cover the latest innovations that empower citizen developers, including model-driven development of data, user interface, process and rules. I’m going to explain the future of model driven architecture and how some companies like Aegon and Mortgage Choice are using Progress Corticon and Progress Rollbase to empower citizen developers to build and manage the next generation of business applications. Last, I’ll explain ways to encourage and promote citizen development within organizations.

Here are the details:

  • Time: Tuesday, November 4th at 3:10 p.m. ET
  • Place: Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, Hollywood, FL

Be sure to stop by booth #622 as well to learn more about how you can build web and mobile apps in record time using Progress Corticon. Look forward to seeing you there!
