lk-file

Hi,

Because of insufficient diskspace a single-user database was shut down in an abnormal way. Now I'm not able to start the db again (message# 1383). I've got an lk-file of 0 kb. When I look into the Progress Knowledge Base they tell me I should consult the DBA. Unfortunately I'm the only one in the house who knows a bit Progress.
Is it safe to delete the lk-file?

We use V6.2 (!).

Thanks,

Anika

Otherwise you can use -F startup parameter.
You MUST have a copy because afterwards you can not connect to the database on a normal way but you can download the structure and .d files for rebuilding your database.
(I had the same also problem some years ago with v6.2 but I not was so lucky like you and I had to use this -F.)
