Junior Progress Programmer/Delray Beach, Florida
A junior Progress developer position is available at SDD. SDD develops and
markets JAZZ Enterprise. JAZZ is a telecommunications and Internet billing
and provisioning software product used by many of the most prominent hotels
and commercial properties in the world. More information about SDD is

Responsibilities of this position include writing code for quality assurance
and regression testing of the JAZZ product, writing code to improve the
product's packaging, install-ability, usability, and supportability, and
managing testing, release, and distribution environments for the product.
Specific responsibilities also include extensive writing and executing of
test plans. Customer service related responsibilities include working with
the JAZZ customer service team on product problem analysis and resolution,
and new customer installations projects. The job requires some direct
customer interaction. The person in this job would report directly to the
JAZZ Enterprise product manager on matters of product development, and with
dotted line reporting to the JAZZ Customer services manager on matters of
customer and product support.
The primary development environment for JAZZ is PROGRESS V9 GUI with
OpenEdge 10 pending, both operating on Windows. Certain modules and
components of JAZZ are developed using Webspeed, Appserver, and Web Client.
..NET experience would be considered a plus. Knowledge of communications
protocols and programming would also be considered a plus (TCP/IP, XML/SOAP,
serial, others).
SDD will consider applicants with 1-2 years Progress experience. SDD offers
a competitive compensation package and a great work environment. SDD is
based in Delray Beach, Florida, on the Atlantic coast of South Florida. A
moving allowance will be considered for the right candidate. SDD will
consider H1B applicants.
