issue while adding AI extents online

i will try to clear up what i mean...

i was adding a few AI extents while database was online using prostrct ADDONLINE...etc.

i was currently at 5 extents and i wanted to add more, so i proceeded to add them one at a time. when i tried to add the 9th, it gave me an error:
(12547) A logical error in shared memory has occurred while adding extents online.
Recovery is performed by restarting the database.

i did a prostrct list to renew my .st file and it shows only up to the 8th extent and shows a:

(451) prostrct list session begin for sit13 on CON:.
[2009/12/11@16:24:27.296+0000] P-10772 T-15620 I : (12475) Unable to get file status for extent C:\databases\PROD\pmprod\dbms2\pmprod.a9

meanwhile, i was able to perform my additions successfully previous to this on another database AND on a test database copied from this pmprod database.

is the database at risk of crashing anytime soon or will a shutdown/restart allow me to continue adding?

Weird things happen to the extent numbering after errors like this. I would expect that shutting down will clear the error and allow you to add the extents while you're offline. But I'd make sure that I had a good backup and that tech support was on speed dial first. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if you have to restart replication from scratch. (I'm not saying that I know you will -- just that it wouldn't surprise me if it ends up that way.)
