19+ years progress programming and still learning.
So this week I was at the Progress' APUG challenge 2014 in Sydney and I met Peter Judge. Peter has developed a ABL/ODBC wrapper which is in tended for the ABL to access 3rd party data in via DataDirect's ODBC drivers.
I have not tried this my self but the demo presentation was very compelling. In theory it could be possible to access another database source from the ABL i.e. MySQL and Microsoft Access .
