We are currently faced with a corrupt block issue (error 4232) and in researching solutions, most state that a dump and reload of the database is a feasible fix. In fact it was shown that a dump and reload can fix several issues, including performance issues due to fragmented data. But no one posted the actual process, commands involved, things to prepare for, or things that could go wrong during this procedure. I would like to ask you all for help populating this thread with the information that admins need to prepare for and accomplish this task.
Also, I saw several posts on these forums by admins that stated they had automated the process through the use of scripts and monitoring the progress of the process using proutil, and would have the scripts email, page, etc. in the cases of success or failure. Some examples of these scripts would be helpful to all of us.
