Progress 8.2B is - at least - 15 year old technology ...
You don't say whether you are familiar with the Progress development environment or the 4GL language - but If I would need to guess I would say you are not.
If you have a development license ( I think they were called 4GL development and ProVision back then ) you can connect with the procedure editor to the database and execute your custome code.
Another possibility would be accessing the database with a 3rd party tool (M$ Acce$$ for example) using the Progress ODBC driver for 8.2b which supports SQL89 access to the database.
