Fresh install 9.1D

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie starting fresh.
I'm following the documentation and installation procedure.
Start:
I have the complete set of progress 9.1d cd pack
On a new computer I installed RedHat Linux 7.2
Then installed jdk1.3.1_04 and jre1.3.1_04
Create /u filesystem 10GB space available
Mount the installation CD, #mount/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
Then cd /u and start the installation;
/mnt/cdrom/proinst
I get error message: "/mnt/cdrom/_overlay No such file or directory."
Am I doing something wrong?
all the help I can get is appriciated.

Something is wrong.

It should be _ovrly not _overlay.

Also I'm not sure about RH 7.2 and 9.1d -- they're both pretty old so maybe they go together but maybe not.

When Progress v9 is run on a Linux 2.6 kernel you need to set and export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.
