Rob, This was my first one of these too, and scope had been a question in my mind. In theory, the session was about 'pure' technical stuff, but as you note there was a lot of spill-over into PM/Roadmap/Ideas areas. Clearly there's a need for more communication with Prod Mgmt, and I'll bring that to their attention. Personally, I would like to see the sessions be technically-focused, and more inclusive – not just Progress folk doing the 'A' but making it more of a 2 way street. You made an excellent point on the PEG about how certain fora are self-selecting in the types of questions they bring and hopefully we can get a broad audience here, from some folk who aren't able to attend the various PUG and Exchange conferences. What kinds of questions would you like to see/hear? It's sometimes hard to split language and tools but I can see separate sessions for those, if that helps. -- peter From: Rob Fitzpatrick [mailto:bounce-robfsit@community.progress.com] Sent: Thursday, 20 February, 2014 18:10 To: TU.OE.Development@community.progress.com Subject: RE: OE Development online Q&A session RE: OE Development online Q&A session Reply by Rob Fitzpatrick I'm not totally clear on the intended scope for these Q&As. I thought it was, in this case, Q&A about the language/tools as they are today. What I heard was a mix of questions about the current product, info exchange-style requests for future enhancements (which is development-related but not the type of Q&A I expected), and feedback on the Community site (which is not development-related at all). It was a somewhat similar experience in the recent DB Q&A as well. Jean/Peter/Brian, can you please clarify what you expect in these sessions? Thanks! Stop receiving emails on this subject.
