I appreciate all that, but it does not address my issue. For now I have worked aound the issue by reverting back to default root building like Mike suggested and EXCLUDING the directories that I don't want. This does not really address my problem, because I am ending up with a 'src' directory in my build destination (which is external to the project). Oh well.
