If you want the feature in the language, then you need to provide the business use case whether I am asking for it or Rob & Co are doing so. As I said, I'm not inherently opposed and would think there was a strong argument for word-index on CLOB for many purposes. As for you, Julian, if it were easy, we would already have word index on CLOB. I don't yet see a case where this is not sufficient without inventing new datatypes and syntax.
