Sounds like you need a storage area per index 
Good luck with the -B2 approach, that may work fine for your database. Ours had a collection of large tables (200-500GB) but not one single table that large. Also... those times for ixanalys and dbanalys seem pretty bad even for a database that size. Using dd I was able to get read rates over 400MB a second using bs=1M. Might be interesting to see how fast your disks can go at least.
