Forum Post: Connecting a SQLServer Express DB on Arcade through DataDirect Cloud doesn't work

I'm trying to connect to a SQLServer Express database on an (Europe - Ireland) Arcade instance. I have installed the Data Direct Cloud Connector on the Arcade image, but the services component log indicates I can't establish connectivity to the Data Direct Cloud. see log below: ============================================================== Client Build #0.0.27 Started: 2014-07-01T12-44-09 ============================================================== 2014-07-01T12:45:09.0+00:00 ERROR [CServiceAPI::readResponse] Failed reading payload, socket error 2, End of file 2014-07-01T12:45:09.0+00:00 ERROR [CServiceAPI::authenticateUser] Read response failed with http status 504, socket error 2, End of file 2014-07-01T12:45:09.0+00:00 WARN [CServiceAPI::authenticateClient] Authenticate with server failed with HTTP error 504, system error 2 2014-07-01T12:45:09.0+00:00 WARN [CServerMonitor::getNotificationKey] Call to api.getDeviceNotificationKey() failed I undertook following actions: - Installed the same Data Direct Cloud Connector on my local machine (laptop) - result no issues to connect! So credentials are all correct. - Opened port 11235 (UDP and TCP) on the Arcade machine - no improvement. Clearly, I have a connection issue for Arcade (EU) into Data Direct Cloud (Amazon US). Can someone please advise me how to resolve this issue. Happy to share all the necessary credentials.
