Hi Edsel, tried that. Added the annotation to the read method and this was added the capabilities attribute was added to the method definition in the json catalog: "operations": [{ "path": "?filter={filter}", "type": "read", "verb": "get", "capabilities": "top,skip,id,orderBy", " params ": [] But still no luck! Excel does have sort in the SELECT, but this is not send to the AppServer in the JSON. Mike
