Flushing of buffers is a very generic term. Do you mean buffers flushed that you can see in PROMON?

Promon won't make any sense to you, or be of any practical value to you, until you learn about the basic internal structures and mechanisms of the database. If you put in the time and read the documentation, the answers to basic questions will become clear.
