Hi, I minimally use progress, I'm just restoring a backup and using ODBC to convert over to SQL. Over time i've gotten pretty handy with the restoration process, but now i'm stumped:
I have a 25 gig 10.0b backup, I have 10.1b to restore it with. when running a regular prorest, it tells me to use the 101a_dbutil, so I do:
101a_dbutil prorest <db_name> <backuplocation> and I get this error: bkForEachExtent: buffer too small - need -1. (7112)

Due to the unexpected size (where i work with progress, it's usually 500-800mb dbs, 4gig is the largest), I had the backup on a network drive, so I figured it was that which was giving me the error, so I rearrange everything (took 6 hours of copying data off to make room) and installed progress and the backup and the restore all to the same drive, so that any network buffer wouldn't be an issue, and lo and behold, I've still got the error.
What buffer is it referring to, and how do I increase it? I'm not restoring the backup from the instance it was created with, could there be something that I need to set that would allow this backup file to restore?
This was dumped on me, so now I'm in a time crunch, and honestly I just don't know enough about Progress to get this working. Big thanks to anyone who can help me get this going.
