entity security

Hi All,

I am aware that a user can be given access to an entity through menu - 36.3.13 Entity Security Maintenance.

But how we can restrict a user to a entity.. like a user is having access to a Entity and now business decides to remove the access to that entity. How we can restrict the user to that entity. Any specific menu # is there ? Please help me out.

Also what does this error means ?

"ERROR: User not authorized to run this application. Please re-enter."

by default a user does NOT have access to an entity,
so unless you grant a user access to entity in 36.3.13
the user is restricted to that entity.

regarding the error message, if you are using version eB2.1
you authorize each user for one or more applications in menu
36.3.1 (User Maintenance), i think in the last frame there you define
which applications are authorized for the user

I take ur second answer for the error message.
I agree that we r giving a user access to the entity. But my question is ,If we want t o remove that access what needs to be done ?

if you want to revoke access to specific entity for a user,
simply delete the entry in 36.3.13 for that user/entity

Bro : we r having eB2 . I doubt 36.3.1 is for restricting acces to a menu or giving access to a menu ? Can you be more clear on this also there is no such last frame in eB2 where you define applications !!!
