Embedding Office Objects

Is it possible to embed an excel spreadsheet or a word editor inside a
progress frame or window?

We have some clients using Office 97 and some using Office 2000.

Any help would be appreciated and I'll take this opportunity to thank
everyone for their help over the last few months and wish you all a great
Christmas and a full throbbing hangover on Jan 1st.

Some brief testing of the ActiveX components that come with office 2000 were
encouraging. I was able to embed a speadsheet control and manipulate it
within Progress.

You'll see this control listed as "Microsoft Office Spreadsheet 9.0". The
actual control is MSOWC.DLL. This seems to function properly when installed
on any PC even if they don't have Office 2000 installed. I'm not sure about
licensing requirements.

This does not contain all the capabilities of Excel. It is much more basic
and I think Microsoft's intent is that it be embedded in a web page.

Now I just need a good use for it ;-)

I don't know of any equivelent for Word.
