E-commerce configuration - pretty hard?

Hi folks,
Firstly, I'm very glad to find such a hot forum discussing QAD topics.

Next, I want to share my headaches to you:

I'm working in China, and our plants are using QADs and we are now going to do EDI with our trading partners.
We have bought and installed EDI eCommerce module, and adopted GXS as the VAN provider. GXS also traslate all kinds of EDI messages(ANSI,UNFACT) to SNF file s for us.

Now we meet the our roadblock: Ecommerce configuration. It is said that every time you link with a trading partner, not only should you compelte the mapping from EDI to SNF, but you need to do some configurations in the Ecommerce modules as well. But none of the oure QAD administratiors in plants know how to configure the module when SNF files are ready by GXS.
So we had to turn to QAD consultants...

The worst problem is that, there are very very limited consultants in Asia Pacific know how to configure the module, and the one we invited will not be available until the next June!!! You know, In our custmer list, we would establish EDI connections with 20 custmers by the end of this year, but now it seems impossible because of the bottleneck of EDI experts.

So my question is that, it the configuration really that hard? or are there any other solutions which can aviod the configuration?

TIA,
JW

After viewing the threads in this forum, I realized that it is the "transformation map" that we are not able to configure by ourselves.

Is it possible for an ordinary administrator to be trained to be capable of this configuration?
Or is there any tools could be uitilized by us to auto-complete such configurations?

Thanks,
JW
