I am using Progress 10.1B03. Does the Watchdog process use a license so that I need to add another one for it when setting up my databases? Thanks, Ann.

If I'm correct then watchdog takes a user count bu no license count.
So you just can add one more to your -n fo a watchdog.

No. WDOG takes a connection which counts against -n. But -n is not related to licenses (despite the fond wishes of a few unscrupulous sales weasels.) Licenses can be concurrent users, named users or named devices. None of these are defined in terms of -n. (The actual definitions are complex and there is a whole PDF on the topic available from Progress.)
