Reflex, the UK's longest established specialist Progress recruitment agency
is looking for a senior Progress developer with experience of leading a
small team to work for one of it's clients.
The role is based in Hampshire (close to the M3).
The role is as follows:
* to manage a small team to deliver mainly Progress based systems;
* to develop and maintain Progress code using a mixture of Progress
v9 Smart Objects and Webspeed. Other web technologies such as XHTML
and Javascript are also included;
* to liase with members of the organisation, understand and document
their system and technical requirements;
The person will need to have the following experience:
* Proven team leading skills of at least one year's duration having
progressed through development as an Analyst Programmer and Senior
Analyst Programmer;
* Practical knowledge and experience of Progress relational databases
and the ability to code in EITHER Smart Objects or Webspeed;
* Knowledge of the IT life cycle Knowledge of the IT project and
development methodologies;
* A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to all work
undertaken;
* An ability to plan, schedule and monitor own work and that of team
with a limited time horizon;
Along with a very attractive basic salary the company offers a performance
bonus & a profit related scheme
