Deleteing Progress Temporary Files

Hi all...

We all notice that everytime the progress
development start.

Both GUI or Progress Editor they will put
some temporary files such as :

Dbi69957
lbi22947
p05420m.ped
srt22947

But after we had already closed the
application, the temporary files still
remain in the working directory.

This thing when they are already a lot,
makes us irritate.

Would someone help me on this?
So that everytime we close the progress
development application it will always
delete these temporary files??

Thks.

Regards.

Honestly, I haven't heard of such a thing. This typically only happens if the Progress session is abnormally terminated, otherwise, Progress cleans up after itself rather well.

If you are using client/server w/ windows 95/98/NT, use the -T parameter to specify a local directory for temporary files (eg. -T c:\temp).

As part of the network login script, simply delete these temp files from whatever directory you specify with the -T parameter.

Hope this helps, regards,

Thks.

I am not sure too whether
it is because of the abnormal
shutdown or not.

But it is true that the
temporary file is getting more
and more files in it caused
by the Progress.

Thks again.

Rgds,

Osam
