Washington DC Area - Gaithersburg, MD: Progress Database Administrator and System Administrator.
Jenark Business Systems, a leading Progress ISV providing solutions to the Real Estate Management industry, is seeking an additional DBA/SA to add to our existing team. We are looking for a self-disciplined, professional IT person with at least 3 years of experience. Familiarity with the following is a must:
- Progress V8, V9, GUI and Appserver
- Windows, Linux, SCO, HP-UX, AIX
- Network Administration
Duties Include:
- Maintaining mission critical databases for both client and internal systems
- Tuning, optimizing, indexing and monitoring database servers
- Performing backups, recoveries and dump/reloads as needed
- Working closely with both internal developers and client personnel
- Performing database software upgrades as necessary
