Datbase Partition / MFG Pro 8.5 / 8.6

If I have two databases partitioned on the same box. Is there any reason for me to believe I would have difficulty upgrading one to MFG/Pro 8.6 and keeping the other at MFG/Pro at 8.5. I would think for testing and production this should not be a problem?

Are there any lessons learned that anyone would share on this item?
