* Bachelors Degree required
* Masters Degree desirable

Years Experience/Skills/ Knowledge:
* 2+ years experience supporting QAD MFG/PRO
* 3+ years experience Database Administration using Progress DBMS
* 7+ years experience in Information Systems as programmer,
analyst, system manager

Required Experience:
* Database Administration using Progress in a mid to large
company production environment
* MFG/PRO ERP end-user support
* Unix and MS Windows system administration
* Source Code Management
* Data Center Change Control Procedures
* Command Shell Scripting
* Software development lifecycle methodology

Desirable Experience:
* Database Administration using SQL Server and Oracle
* Progress 4gl programming
* Writing policies and procedures
* Evaluating hardware and software products
* EDI and B2B System Management
* Functional knowledge of MFG/PRO
* COGNOS Impromptu and PowerPlay

Tasks to be performed & areas of responsibility (include physical
aspects of the job):

This position is responsible for administration of the databases that
support SanDisk's global business systems. This involves supporting
many production, test, and development databases using Progress,
Oracle, and SQL Server database management systems in a multi-site,
24 x 365 environment. The database server farm is located in Sunnyvale
and accessed from sites around the world.

The Database Administration works closely with the Server Administrator.
They back each other up to provide 24 x 365 production support for
SanDisk's business systems. Both positions work closely with the Business
Application Support group to provide support to end-users, Business
Analysts and Application Developers.
