Hi all am newbie to progress and
am trying to use data urls for displaying images on browsers like this
<img src="data:image/gif;base64,DATA"/> where DATA is the raw data that fetch from a database.
This works fine with most browsers but not with IE, after some search i found this workaround:
http://dean.edwards.name/weblog/2005/06/base64-ie/
the solution is to use for the img src a link to a page which will return the data and and set the http header to the appropriate mime type.
My problem is that i can not find a way to print on the web page the raw data because of non printable characters.
To make this more clear i sent the data url encoded through a query string parameter to this page and i need to url decode them and print them.
i have something like this:
{&OUT} url-decode(get-value("imgdata")).
it prints GIF87a only.
Check this link to see an example of data urls.

Thank you.
Andreas.
