Crystal OCX PDF creation

Hi All,

This is my first post here, so hello all!

We currently use the crystal reports OCX for our system reporting. This seems to work well and we're very happy with it. We now need to be able to automatically export a report to a pdf file.

According to business objects knoledge base item c2011686, this functionality was not available in Crystal 8.5. We are running Crystal 11 against a Progress V10 database and client.

Has anyone done this? I've also thought about exporting the report as a crystal rpt file and using a third party application to convert it to PDF, but I can't seem to find an exporter either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As far as exporting to pdf goes,

if you can print from the OCX, you can direct the printer output to some utility like PDFCreator. You would need this on each client machine.

That is exactly what I was after. It's wierd that business objects say you can't do it that way. I'll have to give it a go.
