i'm just a lowly web developer... i need a way to connect to a remote progress database from a freebsd web server (apache). i would prefer to do this in perl, since the site is already coded for perl/mysql, but it appears the Progress DBD was dropped years ago due to lack of interest. because we are running freebsd, we are unable to install a progress client or webspeed client, so i'm looking for a platform independent solution... we'd rather not have to buy any expensive commercial odbc drivers... please help!
