Authorization failed

I just upgraded 15 databases from V9 to OE. I added to these databases an SQL user with dba rights. One database does not work. I get the Auth failed error. I used the same input file for all databases. I cannot understand why one did not work and the others did. I tried to re-create the user by deleting it and adding it back with no success.

Any ideas why a user with dba access would get this error?

Is there some way that I can verify if the user REALLY has dba rights?

Do I have to do something more than deleting the user to try to re-establish the user again with sqlexp?

Right advice will be greatly appreciated.

select * from sysprogress.sysdbauth;

I do not have granted right. I tried to apply them and it looks to work. At least there are no errors. But the access is not there. This is a puzzler!

After the umteenth time, it granted access.

Did you remember the COMMIT after the GRANT? (See prior link)

Yes, I did do this in my input file. When I did it from sqlexp command line, it worked. I don't know why this occurred, but it works now and I will not need to do it in the near future.
