We would like to be have the ABL Web Service consumer (SOAP client) accepting a proxy HTTP(S) -host , port , user , password and list of excepted ports for intranet hosts. We recently have implemented a couple of Web services consumer ABL functionality and deployed to a number of customers and have had some issues as we are unable to define the proxy at a Web Service consumer level. The workaround we have put in place is to start the ABL client session (prowin32.exe) with a HTTP proxy server. The enhancement requested would put the OpenEdge functionality inline with Windows components , e.g. "Msxml2.ServerXMLHTTP"".
