_mprosrv processes accumulating memory

Hi All,

We noticed that in the window Task Manager _mprosrv processes is keep on accumulating in the list. It is not releasing the memory.

Can anyone tell us why it is behaving like this? Any ways to release the memory. Is it a expected behavour? Any precation we have to take from our end?

You can use "Process Explorer" ( a free downloadable product from MS) to terimiate these processes.
But were you able to find out from the PID, what these sessions were and what were they "doing".

promon [database name] ... it give you the server activity

Task manager does not provide useful information about Progress memory usage.

Download the sysinternals tools -- RamMap and VMMap provide a much more meaningful look at memory usage.

may i know how to stop the _mprosvr process. i have established the process id by using the comand prompt command called tasklist but when i try to stop it with taskill it gives an error message tha will not stop it.
