Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (UTI, Inc.) is a nationally recognized
provider of technical education. We are looking for a Progress Applications
Developer for our corporate office. This position develops and supports
systems that capture, maintain, and report information critical to successful
growth. Duties include:
* Analysis, design, and development in the Progress v9.1 GUI
environment utilizing SmartObjects
* Participating in a customer-focused, results oriented development
environment.
* Creation of new modules and maintenance of existing modules for our
Student Management and Reporting Tool (SMART)
* Support existing UTI, Inc. systems to insure that critical information
is captured accurately, maintained, and processed correctly and
reported in a meaningful manner to the end user.
* Enhance existing systems or develop new systems to support changes in
the current business environment and take advantage of new business
opportunities or technology.
* Provide ad hoc reporting when required in order to present information
in a meaningful format
* Develop a complete understanding of the development tools required to
support existing systems and on-going development
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Minimum of 3 years experience with Progress (preferably v9.1 or higher)
* Minimum of 5 years systems analysis and design experience
* Strong interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
* Strong customer focus.
* The ability to work independently.
* BS in Information Technology or related experience.
