I just wanted to apologize for the recent downtime Thursday and Friday.... the main root drive had some corruption which make it impossible to boot the server these sites are hosted on, and a new drive with OS reinstallation was required. On a positive note, we didn't lose any data at all...

This was actually a problem with the gateway script.... it has been fixed and I'll go through and delete all those duplicate posts later today.

Thanks, and I just fixed the attachment types so you can upload .zip files, along with p/w/i/wrx files... these were enabled before, but attachment handling is done alot differently with this new release and I never noticed I had to re-add those.

Chris, yes there is an invisible option available in the user control panel... I think it defaults to visible, but the option is there for people that prefer to browse without showing up in the online users list.

I agree it can be misleading... I'll customize the layout for those forums to make it clearer that replies won't automatically be sent to the PEG email lists.

I just turned them off for all of the PEG forums, however the old imported posts may still have the smilies parsed since a post-parsed version of the posts are now store for better performance. Let me know if you see any new imported posts with smilies.
