There are 2 ways to do it.
1. You make an online backup with "probkup online <db> <db>.bk" and make sure that the <db>.bk file will be backed up with Veritas.
2. You shutdown your database with "proshut <db> -by" and backup all the progress database files *.db *.lg *.d<n> *.b<n> *.a<n>...
