    Request: xcode for progress V6

Found xcode for V6 somewhere on the web. Tried several scripts using xcode but all give me the error: "You can not access local data using this version of progress". I guess I really need a dev.license. Trying to get permission... to be continued...

    Request: xcode for progress V6

I already tried that, exept that I don't own a V6 xcode util. I found one from v7.0 and 8.0 but both of them doen't work because they use a different encryption from v7 and upwards. So you own a V6 with xcode? Sould it be legal if you encrypt the .P files for me? I can send you the files I...

    Request: xcode for progress V6

Let me get this straight: 1st of all... I don't need all the data that the DB is holding right now. I'm building a brand new application that runs on a totally different DB-structure. It would be nice to have some of the old data like contacts and adresses etc. that can EASILY be migrated to...

    Request: xcode for progress V6

I'm able to compile a single PROC. file. It simply doesn't let me dump the database. For all errormessages I'm getting, please take a look in the thread mentioned 2 posts before this one. I do realize that I cannot simply obtain a piece of software that's copyrighted. On the other hand me and...

    Request: xcode for progress V6

No, I can't get into PE. I don't even have a _edit.p or similar file. I tried all of the tips from this thread: http://www.progresstalk.com/showthread.php?t=93642 Any other tips?

    Request: xcode for progress V6

Sorry, I don't know how to access the DA-tool. Can you explain how this is done on V6 Progress??

    Request: xcode for progress V6

I only need to make a dump from the database as it is now. I don't have any further need of Progress. The company I work for now owns a runtime version of Progress 6.2. I think there must be a XCODE for this version because it works with encrypted files. (Can someone confirm?) So I have 3...

    dumping progress 6.2 database

Today I came across another DB-forum and a parameter "bulkload" was mentioned there. Could someone post some details about how bulkload works? I could try that perhaps...

    Request: xcode for progress V6

Anyone still got a progress V6 somewhere with the tool xcode? I'm trying to make a domp from a V6.2 database but I need xcode.exe to do the trick. I can't use xcode from later versions because the encryption has changed in later versions.

    dumping progress 6.2 database

Thanks for all the help! Xcode does run from Windows-DOS but it refuses to run from my MS-DOS 7.1. I guess I'll have to drop this untill I get hold of a XCODE from V6. Thanks again for your input and help! It really helped me out so far.

    dumping progress 6.2 database

Ok, that didn't work out. xcode can't be run from DOS so I ran xcode from WinXP using "xcode.exe -d c:\temp\xcode *.p" xcode compiled 2 files in c:\temp\xcode; compile.p and dump.p. Both containing a lot of garbage, so it seems to be compiled to me. Then I copied both files to my DOS machine and...

    dumping progress 6.2 database

I hate to say it... but there again I don't have any file that even looks like xcode.exe. I don't even have a BIN directory. It's named PROBIN on my machine and it has only a few files in it. Perhaps I must state again that I'm using a very outdated version (6.2) of progress. It seems to be a...

    dumping progress 6.2 database

This is the command I use to get progress running: _progress.exe -1 -db c:\db\mydb\mydb.db -p dict.p After that progress gives me an error about the database being damaged and I should dump the database. Just press spacebar and I enter Progress Data Dictionary. From there, I access Admin and...

    dumping progress 6.2 database

I'm sorry but I simply don't have a _edit.p or similar file in my DLC folder or anywhere on my PC. Am I missing some files here? I do have other procedure files. Can you send me the _edit.p file? I can load dict.p and have a look at all tables in the database. From there I have an option to dump...
