computer products, consumer electronics and school supplies to service
the educational market. As the first in our industry to offer live
online commerce in 1997, DSC has also produced and deployed complete
online applications for major trading partners like Adobe Systems. With
fully one third of our business now being transacted online, we have
created this new position to support our continued online growth and
success.
We have a new permanent position for an experienced Progress/WebSpeed
Web developer with primary responsibilities of writing and maintaining
highly sophisticated Web applications. We are planning some new,
significant Web initiatives and need a seasoned developer. Requirements
include:
* 3+ years Progress application development
* 2+ years experience in WebSpeed application development
* Good knowledge of all phases of Internet/Web development
* Experience as a member of a Web development team and some high
level programming
* Working knowledge of some of the following: Internet protocols,
n-tier development, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, Apache, IIS, JavaScript,
XML/SOAP, JMS (SonicMQ)
* UNIX, Linux and Windows experience
* BA or BS in related field, or Tech College degree in IT, or
equivalent experience
* Good verbal and written skills.
