Web Application Renting

Hi,

Our vendor is offering us an option of Renting a Web Application (Sales Order Inputing).

He is saying the Anual fee will cover the Application Cost and Progress Licenses (OE 102B).

My question: Do we need to pay Progress License costs for this as our Database is already covered by our fees which we pay anually. Is this to cover Application Server licenses maybe?

For one you should ask that question the vendor which provides that offering. Secondly you should check back with your Progress sales rep.

The information you are giving is not enough as to give an advice. Plus Progress has different licensing models and for some customers even individual contracts. Therefore, what Progress licenses you have to pay is completely depending on the setup of the offering - whether you are hosting some part of it or not - and is depends on your license contract that you have with Progress.

Be aware, in the past I found out that even most Progress sales reps don't understand their own licensing models and how they apply to customer scenarios ...
