system error (5635)

Hello to you, we are using and old version of Progress 8.3b...

i got on the screen:

SYSTEM ERROR: -s exceeded. Raison STOP condition and attempting to write stack trace to file 'procore'. Consider increasing -s startup parameter. (5635)

there is the .PF file:

-db C:\LPRG\LPRG2010\devel\dev\defaut\lprgmain # BD à connecter
-e 100
-h 3 # Maximum 3 BD
-s 40 # Stacks
-nb 93 # Nested Blocks
-d ymd # Format de la date
-yy 1920 # Century
-cpinternal iso8859-1 # Page de code interne de Progress
-T C:\LPRG\LPRG2010\devel\dev\tmp # Répertoire temporaire sur le PC
-U lprgxxxx # Usager de la BD
-P lprg4 # Mot de passe
-1


Anyone have an idea ? please don't tell me to upgrade the DB... i know that one ! We ara stuck with this crap.... :)

On a personal note I don't like the "we are stuck with this crap".

Pls don't take me wrong - but, calling more than 15 years old software crap just because it does not do the same things current software does or is capable - to me is not right. Instead I would question the ones who are to blame for "stuck with it".


Just my opinion, RealHeavyDude.

What OS and version of Progress/OpenEdge you are running?

What is the current setting of -s?
