Some questions in mind

Hi. I have designed an image that I have used as the background in all my programs.
It's a mix of some lines and a gradient of green and blue. But I'll be using some fill-ins to output some text in the window. My problem is, the fill-in isn't "transparent". How can I make the fill-in's bgcolor somewhat transparent?

EDIT:
I just edited my post to prevent making another one.
So I tried using the Windows Media Player OCX but it doesn't play the latest video formats.
But I saw the VLC OCX Plugin but when I click it, an error appears.
What can possibly the problem?

I don't believe you can with standard Progress GUI. You may be able to do something along these lines with Infragistics or Telerik controls, but you'd have to redesign your application for this.
