Reflex, the UK's longest established specialist Progress agency
has been asked to fill the following vacancy & would be interested
to hear from UK based applicants that feel they would be suitable:
The role is a senior development role working closely with the Systems
Development Manager as part of a new team that is being set up at their
North Birmingham site
Role/Responsibilities
* Responsible for the in house development and support of
Progress based systems.
* Participation in and responsible for all aspects of the
development lifecycle.
* Liaison with project management team.
* Liaison with external software and services suppliers.
* Provision of second line support services for existing
Progress applications.
* Maintenance and development of department standards and
best practices.
* Maintenance and development of technical and end user
documentation.
* Mentoring of other team members.
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years Progress programming and systems
analysis experience
* Experience of a modern ERP and/or FMCG application environment
including E-Commerce and data warehousing/business intelligence
systems.
* Experience of CHUI and GUI at Progress version 9.1, experience
of older versions of Progress would be an advantage but not
essential.
* Experience of, or familiarity with application partitioning
and Appserver technology, plus a general knowledge of the Progress
OpenEdge toolset.
Salary is expected to be between 28k - 31k GBP + bens
