Once all the code is weaned off from those three silly indexes, then I can drop them. Why do you think they are silly. Indeed, many applications made big improvements once multi-index resolution was added exactly by creating single field indexes like this. The alternative is creating huge numbers of indices with, not only aall possible fields, but also all possible sort orders. The single field indices give you great flexibility in both selection and sort without having to have a zillion indices.
