Insufficient information to connect to the data source

Hi there,

I am trying to read QAD data with ODBC Progress OpenEdge Wire Protocol using the BI tool QlikView, but I am getting the following error message:

SQL##f - SqlState: S1000, ErrorCode: 0, ErrorMsg: [DataDirect][ODBC Progress OpenEdge Wire Protocol driver]Insufficient information to connect to the data source.
ODBC CONNECT TO QAD_TEST

What could be wrong? I don't have problem when I am using the same ODBC connection with Excel MS Query.

Have you given the user in question SELECT privilege on the application tables in your database?
