filter for vsi-fax in NxTrend possible?

I want fax file itself to pass via a filter like '| filter1 | vfx -n...

Is that possible and if so care someone to show how? Filter is a script to format output. We do it the same when redirecting into printer. We want to do the same for fax via VSI-FAX.
