Help!!!
I've been asked to check out the web to find folk with experience of Document (i.e. text, not images) Scanning/Processing as a method of importing Data into a Progress DB.
One of our clients has a range of forms which their staff/clients complete by hand.
They are very interested in developing a system of scanning the forms and processing the document in order to retrieve data from the document which could be passed over to the Progress DB.
I have been asked to investigate, and build together a simple proof-of-concept demonstration system, and I'm looking to suggestions of software out there, or experience if anyone has any relevant experience.
I am familiar with the use of ActiveX controls in Progress, and I guess that there must be an ActiveX control out there which would provide an answer - Any suggestions would be welcome!!!
