Where can I find a guide to the .ini file? What I want to change (globally) is that when a field is to be input, that field shows as underlined.

There is an installation guide for Windows that comes with the product's PDF documentation which contains what you are looking for. Furthermore the PDF documentation also contains a deployment guide where you can find something too.
