COM Listener from 4GL

We need to access an external COM object from the 4GL and create a "listener" internal procedure which is triggered from the COM object as needed.

Whilst the functionality to access an external COM object already exists in the 4GL, we do not believe the ability exists to create a "listener" procedure?

Has anyone done this before?
