We are in the process of re platforming our OpenEdge 11.7 environment from Solaris 11 to Linux 64 and found out that Progress drop support of wsnsa.dll in the Linux environment. Because of the large difference in performance between webspeed cgiip and wsnsa messenger ( 1 to 8 running the same app with the same data) and having all our applications emails contains webspeed links with wsnsa messenger, we are weary of switching to cgiip messenger. OE 11.7 Solaris have the wsnsa.dll under the $DLC/bin directory but not OE 11.7 Linux.

Does anyone know how can I procure a version of wsnsa.dll in Linux 64bit format (Does not have to be version 11) ? Thanks in advance.

If you need to make a change anyway, I suggest you look into migrating your code from WebSpeed to PASOE. OE 11.7 is the last release that supports the Classic App Server/WebSpeed technology.

That was the first POC we did and was impressed with the tomcat performance.

The other part of our apps are still running OE version 10. Re platforming and jumping 2 version above plus migrating from classic webspeed to PASOE was decided as a major risk in an application with > 10k files of code.
